Tiffiniy Cheng, Fight for the Future

Geoffrey is one of the big deep thinkers in the tech policy space. His role in picking out the moments, levers, people, and messages made some of the recent big wins for the open Internet possible. He helped drive the change that happened during the debate around the ITU, the post-Snowden coalition called StopWatchingUs, and the coalition and advocacy effort called Battle for the Net during net neutrality. He has a keen sense of political strategy and network building that make these campaigns go. In the early days, he saw where the core strategy and framing of the net neutrality fight needed to be and pushed it through important circles, doing the early and some of the hardest work of drawing the battle lines where they needed to be.
