Mark Surman, Mozilla

Geoff is someone who knows how to take a big idea and turn it into something real. When he started at Mozilla Foundation, we had a muddled story about why we’re a nonprofit and less than a $1 million in charitable revenue. Working together, we developed a crisp narrative about Mozilla as social cause, built a support base of 1.5 million people and grew our charitable income stream to approximately $15m/year. He also played a key role in establishing Mozilla as a key player in education and helped lead the coalition that won net neutrality in the U.S. Geoff is smart, creative, thorough and tenacious. The right person to have on your team if you are starting from scratch or doing a major rebuild. Also, great taste in shoes :).
