About Me

Geoffrey MacDougall builds from his professional experience in pitch design and partnership development to serve as a rainmaker for a variety of public, private, and not-for-profit initiatives.

Skilled in business development and cross-sector relations, he has raised over $16M in public and private sector funding since 2003. Geoffrey is currently working to establish partnerships with foundations and governmental institutions for Mozilla, makers of Firefox and one of the largest social enterprises in the world.

As an embedded consultant, Geoffrey has served as:

Senior Vice President of Government Relations for Goderich Aircraft Inc., where he secured the funding to launch Canada’s first Boeing Completion Centre;

Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for the Information Technology Association of Canada, where he founded TechSoup Canada, the largest distributor of donated software to Canadian charities and non-profits;

CEO of Veil Entertainment, where he oversaw the launch of an online game development studio; and

Chief of Staff of the United Nations World Summit of Young Entrepreneurs, where he spearheaded the operation of 4 events in 4 countries.

Geoffrey continues to advise foundations, including Ontario’s Trillium Foundation, on how to invest in the technological capacity of the voluntary sector. He is the founder and a current Trustee of the Toronto Awesome Foundation and sits on the board of the Art Dealers Association of Canada Foundation.

Raised in Saskatchewan, he, his wife Powell, and daughters Adelaide and Audrey divide their time between downtown Toronto and the family farm outside London, Ontario.
